Sukanya Samriddhi Calculator
What will your daughter's SSY account be worth at 21?
Assumes the full deposit is made at the start of each financial year (best case for interest), compounded annually. Deposits run for 15 years from opening; the account then keeps compounding without deposits and matures 21 years from opening (or on the girl's marriage after 18). Up to 50% can be withdrawn at 18 for higher education. The rate is set by the government each quarter — this calculator can't track it live, so check the current rate before relying on the exact figure.
Tax: deposits qualify for 80C (old regime, within the shared ₹1.5L limit), interest accrues tax-free, and the entire maturity is tax-free — one of only a handful of EEE instruments left, and at a rate consistently above PPF's. Under the new regime you lose the 80C deduction but keep the tax-free interest and maturity. The account can be opened for up to two daughters (₹1.5L/yr limit applies per account).
